Newbank Garden Centre at Radcliffe was opened in 1990 on the site of the old Irwell bank farm. The old barn, piggeries and stables were converted into houseplant rooms, garden furniture shops and home & giftware, with huge glasshouses being erected to house acres of plants.
The garden centre was the subject of an arson attack in 2003 and had to be completely rebuilt in 2004 linking the old barn that remained with a new 25000 square foot building. Newbank Radcliffe has supplied the local communities of Bury and Bolton (along with people from further affield) with a stunning place to shop and eat for the past twenty three years, and is constantly evolving with our customers. The site has car parking for over 200 cars and has a licensed farmhouse bistro with sun terrace.

Eating at Radcliffe
Our fully licensed bistro is a fantastic place to unwind and recharge, be it with a homemade cake and coffee, or a large hot meal and glass of wine. Set in a converted farmhouse next to the landscaped gardens of the centre, the location is tranquil and divine.
